For Stations:  KWIX-AM and KRES-FM, Moberly, MO

Specify Initiative:  Job Fair Host.

Describe activities undertaken to fulfill that initiative: KWIX-KRES-KIRK hosted a job fair on Saturday, January 30, 2007 at the Moberly Area Community College Activity Center.  A large display was set up showing photos of the different job categories and other station information. Applications were available to interested individuals. This Job Fair was advertised on KWIX 56 times, on KRES 46 times, and on KIRK 60 times for six days before the Job Fair.  There were ten other businesses who participated in the KWIX-KRES-KIRK Job Fair including: Foundation Recovery Systems, MO Dept. of Corrections, Moberly Regional Medical Center, Wal-Mart Distribution Center, Home Care of Mid-Missouri, Monroe Manor, Dura Automotive, Carrollton Specialties, MO Career Center, and the Pierce Home.

Describe activities undertaken to fulfill that initiative: KWIX-KRES-KIRK sponsored the Missouri Broadcasters Association Foundation Internship Program for Missouri college juniors or seniors enrolled in broadcasting or related curriculum.  Ads were aired on all three stations informing students of the paid internship program which would also earn college credit.  Interested college students were invited to contact or come into the stations for the applications and other information about the Internship Program.
